Graduation

In ‘06 i went to the el,
I had a girl in third grade who was under my spell,
I passed my classes but failed the code of the streets, so i looked in the mirror & said “oh well,”
Kissing on her cheeks, but i don’t kiss & tell,
Missing on me, in love: she fell,
I walked across the stage when i got that diploma, no longer had to hear the sound of that bell,

Cause i graduated,
Made it out of high school with no babies,
Never had a teacher try to play me,
Never had a student look at me crazy,
Okay maybe that one time,
This boy decided to call my sister a bitch,
So i whooped that ass, made a 20 foot dash, then he still saying that i switched,
Cap & gown, turn my tassel,
No more studying, no more hassle,
On to new places, on to new faces, on to new destinations to travel,
At times, i wanted to call it quits,
At times, I wish i would’ve hit that bitch,
But I’m a new grad now, lemme take my bow, run up these dollars & ima do it real quick,

New grad, I’m glad, different speed,
Beaufort High class of 2019,
Had to change my pace, changed up my keys,
Got me a beam, left the Chevy,
Mama was proud when i walked that stage,
Nana cried when i got All As,
Daddy cringed with pride, right by my side when that new grad music played,
College bound, new surround,
From 843 to Gardner’s town,
It broke my heart when nana left me in that dorm, I’ll never forget that lonely round,
The sound, the scream, the endless dream of people actually employing me, i stood my ground, i proudly pound: my chest with security,
