Imperious Divine
Haunting howls herald the coming of the night
Suffocating mists cover the moon's dying light
Unforgiving and relentless, unyielding winter austere
Endless blizzards long to bury you here
Through black trees bearing rotten fruit
Festered growths from putrid, ancient roots
How long have you waited?
Time eroded by endless rain
How long have you languished?
Centuries of hate and pain
So we trudge slowly through it all
Meaningless, but a glimpse of hope brings the thaw
Reduced to wraiths
Icy claws grasp the souls with lack of faith
One final journey to death's grim embrace
Lines of regret etched into the sinners face
Hopeless existence held in a clenched fist
Merciful gods do not exist
The cold will come and your children will die
Behold the reign of imperious divine
Now the hounds of hell take flight
Chasing the smell of death, hanging in the night
Behold, in pitch black the phantom you seek
Hear the blasphemies. Of pure evil it speaks
Its head raised it stares with sightless eyes
With gaping mouth, a statue carved from lies
Breathless gaze in terror stand pale
Unearthly forms prolong the endless gale
The merciless hours of years and ages creep
The dreadful strain of thought that never sleeps
Freedom for all from hate and lust
Grip your black heart and turn it to dust
So we trudge slowly through it all
Meaningless, but a glimpse of hope brings the thaw
Reduced to wraiths
Icy claws grasp the souls with lack of faith
One final journey to death's grim embrace
Lines of regret etched into the sinners face
Hopeless existence held in a clenched fist
Merciful gods do not exist
The cold will come and your children will die
Behold the reign of imperious divine
How long have you smothered?
Begging for one last breath
How long have you watched?
This sick game of life and death
Moulding, twisting your body and your mind
How long have you listened?
In this hell of fetid darkness
How long have you lived this horror?
Since you've laid your weary head to rest
