Gaia and Theia

You were born out of violence
Collisions, and yet balance
The ancient cosmic storm
It shall rage on and on
Years upon ages upon eons
You kept hovering in nothingness
You walked your void paths
A silent melody was resonating

Then gravity chained your fates
And out of destruction, life came
And Gaia is chaos, fragile giant
Theia is stillness, silvery silence

Maker of planets
Shining hazy sun
Will this everlasting story stop?
Killer of planets
Shining hazy sun
There’ll be a time you won’t see another down

Your birth gave birth to billions
A gift no-one asked for
Because the cosmic storm
Will still rage on and on and on

Their children soon asked themselves
“is father a giver or a taker?”
And yet Gaia’s chaos, fragile giant
Theia is stillness, silvery silence
