Candles

We were having so much fun but I didn’t know she had a boyfriend at the time
She wanted me to wait for her but I didn’t know that she was lying all this time

And when she lit up the candles, I knew she killed me inside
Just to make her feel alright
And I felt it on my skin, and in my mind I knew
That nobody deserves this
I don't think it's worth it to be with her

She said she would make it up to me, but I didn’t believe her because her heart was never there
And I had never been so hurt, but she didn’t seem to care that I was really there
