My dog looked up expecting help
And I was frozen
Some other one off his leash
Had Chico choking
And then a sweet woman came
And pulled her dog off mine
She was sorry and I said "it's fine"
But he was bleeding
And in that moment I couldn't do a thing
The next day my therapist said
"Alex, I feel like that story says a lot
About how you hate feeling helpless
Which connects to the other stuff we talked about"
