Exit Sign
Feeling exposed
And kinda out of place
I've never once in my life
Fell down with grace
And words, well they
Can not stitch me up
For, my heart has become a graveyard
For my good intentions
My, my, what have I done?
Some things, they never feel wrong
Till you get them right
When everything feels so soft
You never quite know you've been lost
Till you read the exit sign
Out of all of the things
What hurt the most
Was all that we longed for without
Even knowing what it was
And one might even say
That I'd be wiser now
But honestly, I still
Haven't figured anything out
My, my, what have I done?
Some things, they never feel wrong
Till you get them right
When everything feels so soft
You never quite know you've been lost
Till you read the exit sign
Too late
My mind is a dark parade
Of hopes and ideas
That've been swallowed
By all of my fears
Oh, good Lord
Have mercy on my soul
I've got nowhere to hide
But, I hope in the end
I can least say that I've tried
My, my, all that I've done
Most of them might have been wrong
But, I did one thing right
I've learned to get up when I fall
For, to be found
You've got to get lost
It's all written in the exit sign
I've learned to get up when I fall
For, to be found
You've got to get lost
It's all written in the exit sign
