The Undoer of Creation
I've heard so many, so many air raid sirens
That my reaction now
Is merely mild acknowledgement
And while nothing happens, without a reason
I just have to say that that magnesium dawn
Was most unexpected
The light was consumed in a scarlet plume
In a bluish flash and a shockwave boomed
A devastation that transformed the day
Into night!
In a firestorm in a hail of glass
This was the bomb of bombs
The doomsday blast
The undoer of creation had been unleashed
As far as the eye, as far as the eye could see
An en masse cremation, an atomic devastation
A terrain reduced to ashes, and dust to dust
And there were those who survived
Those who emerged from the carnage alive
Sifting through the deluge
They wandered the streets, zombified
