Mirror of Morning

Rays bring forth
In the afterglow
The morning swallows the tail of the night
As for within the darkness of the cavern
I watch the sun rise from out of the sea
While the same sun descends on a foreign land
The water shines resplendent
Illuminating in the realm of forms
At the horizon, eyes meet at the divided line
Passing their reflections
Passing no shadows
Reflections in the water
Reflections in the mirror
Mirror of morning
