Six
Day 1 was a blast,
And it happened so fast
I held on to you tight
your my guiding light
Day 2, nothing new,
I’d been missing you too,
You mesmerized my body
when you whispered I love you.
And so on it goes
A story we’ve all been told
The story of our own
Day 3 waking up
calling you honey,
no matter what you say
I know that I’ll agree
Day 4 you were homesick
I found it cute at first
Smiles disappeared
and I don’t want to see you hurt
And so on it goes
A story we’ve all been told
The story of our own
And so on goes,
I’m saddened and losing hope
We’re walking the same old path again
I’ve got no time to waste,
I can’t help it but I hate
how we’re throwing away the rest of my stay
Day 5 comes the fight
that will darken our light,
we feel we’re not as great
as we thought last night
Day 6 we won't have sex
you’ll be filled with regret,
I’ll be gone before we want it
There’s no need to be upset
And so on it goes
A story we’ve all been told
The story of our own
In the following days,
you’ll be wishing I’d stayed
Looking in the mirror
all the memories remain
