Ace’s Trip Through The Cosmic Ether

I had a friend less than half my size
But lead twice the life just taking his time
And you may ask how can that be?
He had a shorter run but burned so bright

Now he's loose from constraints of time
Free to fly through the ether’s web
I know that he's in a cosmic breeze
Back to the ease of his younger life

I'll be sure to commemorate his nature and his iron will before the great divide
But he has everything he needs to make his way through the wild blue
