The Sentinel
I asked the wise man, 'would you lie to me?'
And he said that I should know if truth be spoken
He showed me things I hoped I'd never see
And I knew the ancient ones had been awoken
I saw the pain in the old man's eyes
He knew his time on earth was almost over
The banshee called his name
But the screaming never stops
The demons call
They try to make you open the door
But I say never, no never, I would never let them in
Close the gates of hell
The old man's dreams are now haunting me
And I see a thousand souls, all lost and choking
They cling to dreams that soon they'll all be free
But I saw the fires of hell, and they were smoking
You can't believe the tricks that they will try
But are those countless souls good or evil
