Tiptoes

Ahhhhh the city hates me
Ahhh I tried so hard to fit her style
Ahhh ahh ahhh the city degrades me
Ahhh whatever I do we don’t comply

Some people say we are free to choose
I disagree, because we have so much to lose,
Our desire to roam and to vent our heads
Is restricted by authority and disguised with regret

Bad conscience is what we supposed to have
As the pope used to pray, that people are bad
Except there’s no hell nor heaven to stay,
Only human existence is the devils’ prey.

I’m walking on the tips of my toes
My arms are swinging, shooting arrows and bows
My legs do hurt, my spine is not straight,
My discs are crooked 'cause they carry my weight.
