The Words That Pierce No Soul
I can’t tell you about the winds
The ones which shock my bones and minds
And, as turning into storms
Left crippled me and freezing
I can’t tell you about the flames
The ones I hopes would ease the cold
But cast shadows upon my heart
And left me scorched and scarred
I can’t tell you about the soil
The one I had to dig through deep
A fruitless search for precious roots
Left me forlorn in leaves and dirt
And I can’t tell you about the rain
The one which sinks into the soul
A myriad of drops, turning into a flood
Left me dripping water, wet and purgеd
And here I stand, with nothing more to givе
The words so many, yet to say so less
A broken man with broken thoughts
Picking up pieces to put them in place
And here I am, shivering, on my bare feet
I don’t want you to heal, I don’t want you to mend
Just bury me inside your warmth
And seal these lips forever
And seal these lips forever!
