Someone once said that
Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the ability to cope with it
If so, then why am I so conflicted
I mean, I'm a peaceful individual. God knows that I don't want to be residual
Left with these woes of pain and affliction, that are leaving me in my heart absolutely conflicted
Love, love, love does nothing but create confliction
Confliction in the mind, confliction in the soul
Love at times has a hold, it just won't let go
Or maybe that's infatuation
These feelings I've been feeling of passion, expecting the irrational
And now we just can't let go, can't let go
Maybe it's jealousy, or could it be hate
It's just this ongoing emotional weight
It's exhausting, all the exuberance in my soul
