Twitching in Time

Lights flash on the ceiling, then lay buried in the mud
Wings move into orbit, see them sailing up above
Slowly dividing up the space there in the sky
After the amputations, will they still survive?

Clouded up the daytime and then swallowed in the night
Pulled on through the pages that lay open in your mind
Trying to find your way around there in the dark
Tried to define it, but instead it ripped apart

Emancipated from the hours rolling by
Soon desperation dulls the longest, sharpest knifе

Washed away the evidеnce, it's fading with the crimes
As the days revolve away, we're twitching here in time
A slow education which eventually reminds
How we repeatedly moved forward from behind

Unraveled, incomplete, oblivious to change
Stuck in the places where we always will remain
