Silent Fury

Gary Wright

Ginny and Molly were two sisters, born in a back country lane
They both are up poor, livin' on the wrong side of the tracks
To stay in that town was the downfall of both, Ginny finally got away
Molly got married and settled down with two kids in a shack
Hard times came down on Molly, when the old man went away
She tried to work and raise her kids at the same time
Ginny came back and tried to help her, but Molly refused out of spite
A fight began between them, and Molly stabbed Ginny with a knife

Silent (silent) fury
Molly's feelin' burned, just like a well firе
Silent (silent) fury
But Ginny couldn't help savе their lives
She's her own victim, yeah yeah
She's her own victim, yeah yeah yeah
Trying to get away, from hard looks and people
Trying to get away, she gave herself up cryin' no-no-no
Nine years was Molly's sentence, lucky it wasn't her life
But crimes of passion are so hard to justify

Molly grew hard and bitter inside, both the kids had moved away
She had nothin' to hope for but her good luck and her better days
Silent (silent) fury
Molly's feelin' burned, just like a well fire
Silent (silent) fury
But Ginny couldn't help save their lives
She's her own victim, yeah yeah
She's her own victim, yeah yeah yeah
She's her own victim, yeah yeah
She's her own victim, yeah yeah
