What a year it’s been
Full of fireworks and flames
I asked the harder questions
But the answers never came

What a time this is
I can’t believe the things we say
It’s too late to take them back
And we probably meant them anyway

We didn’t learn a thing from it
Even got a little worse somehow
It didn’t change a thing did it
No Just look at where the hell we are now
We could’ve learned that all our failures are just there to help us win

What a day it’s been
Time to open something good
Drink away the memories
It shouldn’t work but I’m glad it does

What a life it’s been
But where did it all go?
All the faded pictures
Of a time I’ll never know

Kicking and screaming never listening pointing fingers
Just as long as we don’t have to accept
That we are part of a problem we’re too entitled to solve and
Deserve everything that we’re gonna get
All this madness, misplaced anger,
Feels like pissing straight into the wind
And we didn’t learn a thing
