Don’t Ask Questions
You're asking me to choose, you want my point of view
But I've lost faith in your democracy
I think you're all corrupt so I've given up
There ain't no place in your system for me
Next time you call fewer and fewer will show up
Undermine your credibility with our disgust
Expose your victory as totally unjust, until
Your authority can't be imposed on us
Do as you're told and fall in line
Go cast a vote but don't speak your mind
The game's set up and you're the pawn
And soon you'll find your freedom's gone
Don't ask questions, there's no need
To second guess, just believe
Things couldn't be better, it's guaranteed
The world is perfect, put your mind at ease
I know, I know, I've heard it all before
They said I'd understand when I'd be more mature
My opinion never changed, in fact I've never been so sure
You can't be serious, you're asking me again
To do my duty as a citizen
I won't participate, not proud of my country
There ain't no place in your system for me
They come to you with false decrees
Empty worlds and hallow deeds
The game's set up, the lines are drawn
You'll wake to find your freedom's gone
