An offering to night's divide
The gates are opening on either side
Shading the sun, curtains fall
Drapes of black fade to ends of all
Downstream on and on I flow
Across into the open
Downwards the spiral once more
To secret halls in my mind
Too dark to trust my own eyes
Light my thoughts with fire
A torch to see the past come alive
In secret realms of the night
Within the crypts of sleep
Digging in your soul too deep
REM - Eyes move, rapidly creep
Below, into the crypts of sleep
Travel in quantum leaps
Enter the new territory
Besiege temporary destinies
Down in the crypts of sleep
Restrictions may seem so weak
Fly over mountains steep -
Deep down in the crypts of sleep
In the shade of the sun
By the light of the moon
No need for aspiration
When day remains undone
