Landing Spot Field

And I was there on the swing
When they came down and landed in the backyard
I was flummoxed, trying to figure it out
And then they (?)
The doors opened
The spacecraft shot open
They stepped out and talked to me
Wondering how I'm doing
"Well, sir, I'm confused."
"Who are you?"

And he greeted me
And tells me where he is from
We walked around in the old dirt track
I've many questions for him
The patches whеre grass is discolored (?)
He told mе they were landing spots for others
It's been going on for many years (?)
And I have no other words to say
But just being surprised
For he knows something I don't

So we walked back to the backyard
I asked, "What do we do now?"
He was preparing to leave
So I asked "could I come with?"
