Mind To The Masses

Brain alive on the caverns to the hilltops we walk upon
I contemplate the purpose of this journey ’til I stopped at dawn to rest upon a hillside, admire the view as tension unties
Constellations floating amidst the purple sky at sunrise
Sometimes I [?], put my mind at ease finally
Finding inner inspiration hiding under these lush trees
And I must seize the moment
Pulled out my trusty pencil
And begin to write rhymes to the distant sound of wind chimes
Then somеthing broke my concentration
I stood peering over thе clearing
To my dismay I saw a bulldozer tearing down the land at that point I'd held so sacred
Reminded me of when the white man came and raped the land from the Indians to expand their plans of grandeur
So feeling quite disheartened, I walked down further to investigate
See what a mess they made of a land that wasn’t rightfully theirs to desecrate
Contractors all about building but need to respect the earth first
So I sat in the path of the tractor and finished writing my verse
It goes
Mind to the masses
It’s time for drastic measurements
Ever since my hometown turned into a fucking zoo and no one knew the damage done until looked upon collectively
The mass majority neglect to see at this rate of expansion the planet will be lost to its doom eventually
So essentially what we need to do as the younger generation is make ‘em take into consideration our lack of patience for greedy corporations who judge a person by their wealth
Stop trying to change the world and start trying to change yourself
