Sad-eyed lady with your raven, there upon your shoulder
You have watched me for some time, though I am young and you are older
Do not let a streak of fate that might now be waiting
Bind together that which should never have been created
Tell your raven "Fly away" for soon we must be parted
Tell it to fly silently so neither of us notice
I am young, you are older, time, it will not change
Strong though I am, I will crumble, only to be parted
I have given nothing to you, you nothing to me
And in the hours of the daytime, we both know it must be
I once was young, you are the same, now equal we will be
And in the distance, our black raven flies aimlessly
