The Conduit Eight
The eyes they walk miles...
These eyes walk miles around obstacles
That once took seconds to pass by
We take your voice your body's music
And make it our own
The sounds we ourselves made sits idle by the bed
Unloved for decades
Because we believed words your touch gave freely then
But now you're coming to collect the knight's envision
You work with the hands of a stranger
The compression of body's nothing but violence
Your gentle nature burned by your own deceptions
You broke your own heart miles back
And you look at us for a way out a way home away from yourself
And you find it hidden in the foals of dependency
You fuck my mind each sunset
Purposely leaving my skin untouched
You feel power this way
Closing a fist with humour on your face
Creating a personal womb a wet dirty mythology
With your own self nurtured and godlike stupidity
But I know you better now
And your ribbons are becoming a soundtrack for my desire for rebirth
And you with your mocking stare dead and sharpened mouth
You cannot follow where I go
Because I'm returning you've only paid in my service
And my foundation remains untouched and perfect in its solitude
That which has always carried me close to its breast
And nursed me on the blood of creation
