You keep your head down
Try to pretend you don't see me
Such wrapped attention
You're giving to that glass of tea

Can't say I blame you
It must be hard to search my eyes
Instead you choose to
Keep up an image built on lies

I remind you of all the things you hate about yourself
It's a hard truth but it goes down easier just to blame somebody else

I learned my lesson
I found out just how life can be
It keeps you guessing
Who are your friends and enemies
Your enemies

Its such a shame
It didn't have to end this way
But I won't fight
I sleep quite well at night
