Aluminum Mountain
Silver, grey dirt
And the shine in the trees
Primary multicolored bushes
Draw me in with ease
Hiking up crumpled sharp crags
Not stopping much along the way
A sip of a water lets me last longer
I go farther on sturdier legs
The silence is deafening
So I play my favorite songs
The ones that make me cry
I'm all on my own
Shattered glass underfoot
Tripping comes with drawn blood
Lacerations color the ground
Now I'm trekking through mud
Rivers bubble and break
Ice cold pressure from far within caverns
Remember to breathe deep
Every once in a while
Admire the view and I keep on going
Night's approaching, the dark is closing in
Stars disappear and the moon smiles grim
Closer to the top the air gets thin
And I hit the peak
But I'm back on the bottom again
Thought I'd find something new
But I'm back on the bottom again
Back on the bottom again
