I'm getting ready for the end of my life
Only I didn't know it at the time
Spent a lot of it wondering how I'd die
Be more in control, but I'm still surprised
There've been times when I wanted this before
But now that it's here, I'm not really sure at all

I forgot the rest, I forgot the good
I only saw what I wanted to see
Not want, but you know what I mean

I was okay to let time pass me by
There've been times when I wished for this
I never stopped to really consider it at all

I'm getting anxious, maybe I don't have it right
I don't want to regret, we've been here before
Don't want to feel the pain, but at least I hurt
