Maybe I'm just sad
Maybe I'm a little mad
At the state of the world
The painful state of my past
Have you ever heard of slavery
Or lives taken too soon
What about the fighting
Viruses and gloom
Or feelings of loneliness
Or the tiniest loss
Do we grieve both death
And holes in our socks
We're living in a fallen world
It's not how it's supposed to be

One big broken family
Maybe everybody's coping trying not to believe
That the world ain't as good as it seems
Humans exist as broken beings
In a broken relationship with the King of kings
Nobody ever really stops
Thinks of the sacrifice and the cost
And the impact it has on us

I am more than sad
I'm deeply enraged
That this life has so much pain
Not a day where you can escape
But I am at peace with the Holy Spirit
Healing and miracles are possible
Children of God live lives to the full
I am hopeful
Because one day
There will be no tears, just peace
Not even pain to grieve
For eternity

We need community

In God we can be free

God will guide

God's heart breaks for the fallen world
But it's not forever
