Drowsy Driving

I wake up in the morning
About a quarter past going to bed
With the streetlights
Shining over my head
I don't have much time for me
I'm either going to work or falling asleep
And yeah I miss you
This ain't a life I wanna keep
And now the whole world
Can hear the lies I see when I tell them
The modified honesty
I got one way to make time
Keep my hands on the wheel, my car 'tween the lines
And then I wake up when I finally arrive

I need an image
To burn in my memory
And with all the colors
The harder it seems baby to report
The monochrome qualities
But I learned how to skip time
Now my drives don't feel as long
I lose my senses for a minute and I'm done
So if I don't make it in today
Make my paycheck out to the state
And fix these roads that kept me awake
