Saved (Acoustic Version)
When I was between a
Rock and a hard place,
You came to me.
Your smile and goodness
Were too good to be true.
Leave me be.
I walked out, wanting to sit
In my own sorrow.
You called out to me,
“Don’t wait until tomorrow.”
You didn’t call me by my sin,
But my name.
You told me not to be afraid.
From here on out,
Things will never be the same.
Lord, it’s because of you that I am saved.
I fell back down, caught by a rock
I can’t move.
You didn’t lose faith in me
Like I always do.
You came to me again,
But in a different way.
Through people like me, who
Stumbled but saw your face.
You didn’t call me by my sin,
But my name.
You told me not to be afraid.
From here on out,
Things will never be the same.
Lord, it’s because of you that I am saved.
How can I give you what I don’t have?
How can I change my mind just like that?
But I’m silenced when you say,
“Daughter, look at my face.”
There was no judgment, only a man
Who knew my pain.
He opened up his arms to me and whispered,
“You are saved!”
You didn’t call me by my sin, but my name.
You told me not to be afraid.
From here on out, I will never be the same.
Jesus, it’s because of you that I am saved.
