These words seem hollow,

All we do is try,
To leave it behind,

Creaps up in time,

Like an unsolved crime,
There's no better healer than time,
Lifes in fast forward,
but seems to rewind,

They say Freedom of speech is a blessing,
That's the message I'm sending,
Still say no to the seshing,

So my kids grow up without seeing me penned in,
Like Dont get me wrong ive been tempted,
To go back But theres no way ill see them fending,
For themselves whilst im behind bars caged in,
Raging,
Aging,
Failing,
As a parent claiming ,
To care,
Whilst the love in the heart begins fading,
Degrading every day im waking,
No longer taking,
Life for granted
Man im appreciating,
What iv got and faced with,
Praying,
That i dont look back in time at the years that ive wasted
