Rich Man, Poor Man
Once was a rich man, strong and stable
He had power
Wouldn't even spare a crumb from his table
He loved power, oh, power
Once was a poor man, weak and fragile
Just a beggar
Sitting outside of the rich man's castle
He was a beggar, a lowly beggar
One man loses, one man gains
Earthly possessions will pass away
But finer than the finest gold
Are heaven's treasures locked in your soul
Rich man died with a fate infernal
Nothing higher
Standing on the brink of a life eternal
He smelled fire, only fire
Poor man died in a humble setting
But he met the Father
Looking through a chasm, he saw the rich man
Begging for water, just one drop of water
One man loses, one man gains
Earthly possessions will pass away
But finer than the finest gold
Are heaven's treasures locked in your soul
One man loses, one man gains
Earthly possessions will pass away
But finer than the finest gold
Are heaven's treasures locked in your soul
But finer than the finest gold
Are heaven's treasures locked in your soul
