Tear It Down
Mountain reaching to the sky
Glacier melting off in lies
Flowing down infecting the hushed valley bellow
Creek turns to a stream with a sickly glow
But that river is at its end
For its false life is dead
Fall of the edge of the world oh it's a long ways down
And from that abyss it shall not return
Lord make me willing
To be an empty vessel filling
With less and less of myself
This rotten flesh has brought about
Nothing but death
And set it up so high and lofty
Tear it down
Tear it down
Tear it down, down, down
The raven cries at Babylon
Saying 'Where has the light gone?'
But that old bird is blind he know nothing but deceit
Can you hear his voice grow thin? So decrepit and weak
Still he screeches into the night
Saying 'Listen to my plight'
But no ear shall be lent his tower leveled below the ground
And from that abyss oh it can not return
Lord make me willing
To be an empty vessel filling
With less and less of myself
This rotten flesh has brought about
Nothing but death
And set it up so high and lofty
Tear it down
Tear it down
Tear it down, down, down
The sea is a wild tempest
Demanding fear and attention
But The Rock stands firm He shall not be moved
So I will set my eyes on Him and hold on
Fortress made of sand is no more
It's been levelled by the raging storm
Now all that remains has been refined by the fire
And 'Hallelujah' sings the heavenly choir
Lord make me willing
To be an empty vessel filling
With less and less of myself
This rotten flesh has brought about
Nothing but death
And set it up so high and lofty
Tear it down
Tear it down
Tear it down
Tear it down
Tear it down down down
