Sometimes I walk around sleeping
It's like I never really woke up
A million miles away I'm dreaming
Like the world around me suddenly just froze up

In the dark and you're my beacon
I am suspended in the breeze
While I was looking for a reason
I never noticed all the things here right infront of me

In the darkness light feels brighter
And you can see now it's importance
In this moment I feel lighter
And for a moment I feel like I might have caught it

It's too delicate to hold on
There's a dark figure standing in the corner
He is beckoning to live now in this moment
Before it's time for us to walk across the border

It's like I'm having this reoccuring dream or nightmare
I can never remember how it starts but I get this vague
Image of fleeting memories both familiar and strange

In shallow waters try'na mind my steps
No signs of depth inside these minds they wait till Simon says
Me I sit beside the edge the heights are death defying but
When times are dire I reflect devise a plan and try again

A stubborn optimist I'll be that way until my dying breath

To be awake and chase dream ain't mutually exclusive
