FORTY-FOUR BOXES

I scream take your foot off of the door
then I open it and you are not there anymore
I go out through the door, it's so cold in the rain
I look for your dark shadow walking away

I can't breathe, I can't think,
I have a hole in my heart
something has killed my machine
cause it won't start

I need to know are you alive are you for real or am I going blind
you were just here, cause if you are gone I am loosing my mind

I run up to the road, to see if that's where you are
I run through the woods and I look to the stars
I start fires to light up the dark
But I'm breaking down in tears, I don't know where you are

inside every box there's a memory of you
