Lonely Christmas

Sleigh bells are ringing
Tinsel's hanging off the walls
Everybody's cheering
But for what?
Chocolates in the bowl
Turkey in the oven
Why is
There such a big hole
When will it stop?
Not everyone has the same Christmas
Like the rich folk round the table such as us
People on the streets for Christmas
No one to love them
As much as us
Tell me why you need so many presents
Under that horrid
Meaningless tree
Is Santa real?
I don't think so
Look at the amount of people
Who're alone
Some are so lonely at Christmas
Taking pieces of themselves to give to us
No one should be lonely at Christmas

Remember your loved ones who have come and gone
