Jesus Had a Reason

Jesus had a reason when the earth was dark and void
When He said, let there be light, and it was done
When with skilful artist hand he created sea and land
Life and colour in the glory of the sun

Jesus had a reason when He came to live on earth
When He left His splendour up above (Up above)
Jesus had a reason, it is still the same today
Jesus' only reason, is love

Jesus had a reason for the plan that He designed
Though you fumble or reject it as you will
For the beauty He has made, for the sunshine and the shade
Every portion has a purpose to fulfil
