I Hope I'm Not Found

I've been sitting at this pond
Hours upon hours
The movements of my breath
Slightly sways the flowers

The sun starts to tuck away
And the moon starts to appear
The birds all stop their chirping
The crickets take it from here

So I run into the dark
I can't see shit but I know my path by heart
It seems everything is clearer under the stars
I can feel the eyes watching me from above
I'm sure my face is something they're tired of

I try not to fantasize a life that's mine
But it seemed so nice not to have to rely
It's better now that there's no one here for miles

I hope I'm not found
I hope I'll stay here
Until I become a part of the ground
I don't need to care if i'm loud
I'll just keep running
Until my legs give out

Now nothing's in sight
Deeper into the woods means blocking off moonlight
The whispering could be the wind or something behind me
Maybe I'm not as alone as I'd like to be
And I don't take visitors kindly

Then I trip and fall into a deeper pond than mine
I could get out but I don't even try
I swim down but the floor was impossible to find
I must be out of my mind

I hope I'm not found
I'll try and stay here
I'll become a part of the ground
I don't need to care if i'm loud
I'll just keep laying here until I fall asleep and drown
