People tell me how the times have changed
I tell them nothing stays the same
They smile and walk away
I don't know what they wanted me to say

I've been up and I've been down
Turned on turned out and turned around
I have been lost but that's all over now
Hope remains only God knows how

It is time for me to lay it down
