My identity is not identical
This new entity is now political
This century has turned me digital
Quite possibly has turned me prodigal
From where I came I have now learned
What I would become had I not explored
Had I not embraced, had I not grown
Had I not taste the person I'd become

You cut your hair, shave your face and then
Cut that attitude, that'll do

And you crunch the numbers
They don't add up
You're not built that way, make you guilt
For just being someone, being somewhat
Off of the path, butterfly effect
And you find you're someone else than was planned

Everybody knows what's best for your life
But you have to ignore them

And suggestions, and the diagnoses
You have to be you
And though I say that I have changed
I've really bloomed into the person I had
