Heartless Man
My head was swarmed by chaos,
While your hands were full of flowers.
You walked into the rubble,
With a garden on your tail.
No fear, no doubt, no hesitation,
Reflected from your big brown eyes.
I kept my dagger close to me,
Didn’t believe everything I saw
Oh i was too afraid to feel,
To see the light, to love, to cry
The heartless man,
the ghost of the heart
You gave the flowers in your hands,
Some for what’s dead,
And the rest for what remains.
I warned you about the harm
you’d probably get
If you stayed any longer.
I was much more of a devil
Than the man you thought I was.
Oh i was too afraid to feel,
To see the light, to love, to cry
The heartless man,
the ghost of the heart
