In the town where all men stole
And everything that could was took
Him from him and her from her
From silver plates to books
Along comes a stranger
A kind and honest man
Who'd rest his head at night
Whilst others stole all that they can
And every night this happened
And every night another spared
Of waking up to find their belongings
No longer there
This domino effect left a strange
Shift in the town
For some men better off
And others
Further, further down
The stranger who at first
With his kind and honest heart
Found himself in a dilemma
That tears all good men apart
With no way left to live
Without a pen to write his name
He snuck out in the night
And joined their filthy game
