First Light
FIRST LIGHT
Am I waking? I’m dreamin’?
Glimpse of your eyes changed the world.
For a moment it was seeming – but before I’ve never heard –
That days of someone’s childhood could have got new magic touch,
I’ve had no clue down under my hood,
You would have changed my life so much!
Just a glance, not a word thou,
Then one strange smile, just a blip.
I’ve said to myself:
“Catch that dream! Save what U got! Don’t let it skip!”
I was aware of true emotion,
‘n’ I was sure I have to hope…
Thought: “My days will be devotion to our love, our sweetest top!”
Past is, honey, faraway land,
Someone somewhere claimed before.
Faces covered all in deep sand,
Heart bears memories no more…
So let the night be gone now ‘cause tomorrow we’re the past…
I wanna keep my yesterdays thru smile which’ve changed my world so fast.
Days, nights, weeks and years behind us…
Road comes to its misty end…
Then I’ll take a look that finds the shining face of a long-time friend.
And while this planet’s turnin’, I know that I am leaving rich…
Into ashes, my mind is burnin’, but my soul stays whole – no stitch!
Everything that now surrounds me leads to unknown, foreign fields,
I’m not afraid nor I ever will be, ‘cause love’s been the best of shields,
For me, hmmm, hmmm…
