Life Will Never Be the Same
If I could hear the sound of tears falling down
I would catch them one by one before they kiss the ground
You could read my mind
You knew where to find
Those long forgotten memories we’ve somehow left behind
I still hear your voice, scrambled by the noise
Bullets flying ‘round as if they didn’t have a choice
Hatred in the air, faces in despair
Trying to figure out the reason why it’s time for them to die
I’ll never understand what destiny has planned
All I know is life will never be the same again
Could someone please explain
Why innocence is left out in the rain
Life will never be the same
It cut me like a knife
Some stranger took your life
He didn’t seem to bother killing someone’s wife
We should have seen the signs,
If I could turn back time
I wouldn’t have to try to memorize the twinkle in your eyes
I’ll never understand what destiny has planned
All I know is life will never be the same again
Could someone please explain
Why innocence is left out in the rain
Life will never be the same
I never had the chance to take you in my arms and say goodbye
From your lips, I could nearly hear the fading of your cry
And if there is a God, I would ask him on the spot
If all this killing in his name is something that he has forethought
Or did He not?
President Obama statement on Paris attacks
I just want to make a few brief comments about the attacks across Paris
Once again we’ve seen an outrageous attempt to terrorise innocent civilians
This is an attack not just on Paris, it’s an attack not just on the people of France
But this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values that we share
I’ll never understand what destiny has planned
All I know is life will never be the same again
Could someone please explain
Why innocence is left out in the rain
Life will never be the same
Life will never be the same
Life will never be the same
