Tower Of Rivers
All of the gardens I ever tended
No matter how splendid, I moved on
I'll never know the Earth again under my feet no
Nor plant a seed, nor watch it grow
I fell into a well
To the bottom of the sea
I gave into the well
Built a tower of rivers
All of the ceilings that I ever painted
Have somehow been tainted in my mind
All of the curtains I made out of velvet
They stand in the pulpit of time
Where was my God when he put out his cigarette
On my arm when I was small
I'll never take a train again or pick up a paper
Or see a skyscraper or go to the mall
I fell into a well
To the bottom of the sea
I gave into the well
Built a tower of rivers
I die, I die
But my body keeps living
I die, I die
But my body keeps giving
I'll never leave my room again unless you drag me
