The darkening skies
Form on the horizon
Carrying ice cold winds
All throughout the land
With every second
It draws ever closer
I feel my time is
Is now growing short

The fimbulwinter
Now comes upon us
With unrelenting storms
Neverending snowfall
It is the first sign
Of the world's end
Unescapable fate
Of a foreseeable death

All hope's now lost
Nothing can be saved
Kingdoms lay in ruin
Empires diminished

All the souls before me
All life that flourished
Is now only buried
Not to be shown again
