Squint
Tried to stay still, the schoolyard's so apocalyptic
Reject your will, you'll find it's not your own
Starting to seem, your love may not be worth the roof that
Covers your head and stands for such a threat
No trust at all, how could they expect less than a half-truth?
Can't speak a word, mom's such a matriarch
Squint tighter, and they're gone
There's much less noise, it costs so much to make the phone ring
No sound of cars, the highway's far away
When you place blame, try to look past all their badges
If you squint hard you'll find some beauty in it all
