On the street at night I saw a man I used to know
He passed me by, I really wanted to say hello
You know it's been a long time since we talked on friendly terms
It's been a long time since we've talked at all

We all talk to anyone
In fact I think it's done

At the supermarket or the laundry mat
Still a human person, I enjoy a chat
He made feel my lives has changed at lot
You know in this matter that was all I got

We all know certainly
It's better to never meet
Acting strangely

Communication can take it's tall
Draining energy from us all
Conversation, I am talking tonight on it's own

Giving in to years all day through
Giving incent, giving you
Being clean, being nice, don't ask my advice
