Wife Swap Sled Riding
Sometimes, I sit and wait for the sun not to rise
That's usually my best hope for a surprise
Sometimes, I run circles hoping to find something new
To see a new block of pavement
But, all that's in my eyes is of a grey kind
But, life has got one hell of an upside
With my back flat against the wall
My feet are trunks never budging
And I'm praying for fucking hurricanes
Thank God, I'm so patient
I'll just sit and wait at a standstill
Sometimes, I think I've got the perfect answer
I'm alive aren't I?
I can paint that fucking picture so well
Too bad there's not enough light to tell
I'm wearing my best suit and it looks like rain again
I'm in my best suit and it's raining
But, life has got one hell of an upside
With my back flat against the wall
My feet are trunks never budging
And I'm praying for fucking hurricanes
Thank God, I'm so patient
I'll just sit and wait at a standstill
How many times do I have to forget where the grounding for my grasp on things went?
How many times do I have to get back to a time when things came out clear?
But, I'm moving up, but not moving on
Moving up, but I'm holding on
Move me, move me to the point where my feet can shake the ground
