Disillusion comes
So easy
To those sharp enough

Warming up for dark

Barbeque hellos
Light up sky
Framed explosions with
The silhouettes of pines

Let’s be honest
We swell as if we’re proud

And still we’re catching up on old news
Filling up our plate
We put the same foot forward
We wouldn’t notice wartime
If we didn’t catch the spin

How to stick the blame
