The Calling
Lying awake in the dead of the night
Something’s near but none in sight
Blackness is all that’s in my room
Tonight will be my date with doom
I sense a presence I can’t see
Someone’s here, not only me
Drugs are poisoning my brain
It feels like I’m going insane
It’s the man that you can see
Still the one I used to be
Still alive but I’m not free
‘Cause in my head they’re calling me
All on my own, non sound, no light
I cannot move but I’m not tied
There’s only pain inside of me
I start to scream in agony
I feel a hand that lifts me up
I’ll lose my mind if this won’t stop
Will someone help me out of here?
The only thing I feel is fear
It’s the man that you can see
Still the one I used to be
Still alive but I’m not free
‘Cause in my head they’re calling me
Looks like I’m back where I belong
I’ve been away but for how long
Did someone see the ones out there?
I feel alright but I don’t care
Am I the same or have I changed?
Deep in my mind I feel deranged
Maybe something’s left behind
There is a hole inside my mind
It’s the man that you can see
Still the one I used to be
Still alive but I’m not free
‘Cause in my head they’re calling me
It’s the man that you can see
Still the one I used to be
Still alive but I’m not free
‘Cause in my head they’re calling me
